FORTUNE-TELLING MAY PROVE TRUE
Chicanery Roils Election 2000

A recount, extended polling hours, cigarettes traded for votes and a Clinton invitation urging noncitizens to vote have led
to charges of fraud in the presidential election.
,,, These are sideshows compared to the heavyweight fraud that has been documented in electronic voting, which has been referred
to as “not a door without locks, but a house without doors.” The problem with electronic voting was well-documented
in the 1993 book Votescam: The Stealing of America by James and Kenneth Collier. One reason voters should be suspicious of
electronic voting is that manufacturers of the machines own the secret codes and regard them as trade secrets, effectively
ruling out even the possibility of ensuring program integrity.
Yet, as Insight went to press, GOP presidential candidate Bush appeared to be unconcerned about voter fraud. A senior
Republican Party official tells Insight that “there really wasn’t a lot of fraud to speak of. There were some
irregularities in St. Louis, when a state judge — who is a former staffer for House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt
— ordered the polls to remain open an additional three hours, but that was quickly overturned when an appeals judge
closed them down less than an hour later.” The same official explained, however, that “because it appears that
the late votes put [the late Gov. Mel] Carnahan ahead of [Republican Sen. John] Ashcroft, the Republicans retained lawyers
to look into possible fraud in the [gubernatorial] contest.”
But Ashcroft refused to play the lawyerly game and conceded gracefully, whereupon Democrats began to claim GOP fraud
for Bush. Even so, the Texas governor sat quietly in Austin awaiting recounts in Florida.
Down in Florida, a representative of the state’s Republican Party also played the country-club game. “The
situation in Palm Beach isn’t about cheating or fraud. It is about confusion and counting. There are 67 counties and
thousands of precincts that have to carry out a recount. And the point is that in Palm Beach it is a Democrat who signed off
on the ballot, believing the design would be more reader-friendly in large print. Under Florida election laws when a race
is within 0.5 percent of the votes cast, the secretary of state is mandated to carry out a recount. Without a finding of intentional
fraud, it seemed unlikely that a new vote would be considered.”
What seemed likely was that the Palm Beach controversy finally might shine a light on the confusion of voting methods
employed throughout the country and force some much-needed reform. One area in which to start could be Clinton’s “motor-voter
law,” which allows people to register to vote when applying for driver’s licenses but does not require proof of
residence. Until issues such as this are addressed nationwide, voters will fumble in the dark and the high drama will continue.

Recount Ruling Text

Text of Tuesday's ruling by Leon County (Fla.) Circuit Judge Terry P. Lewis on request by Volusia and Palm Beach counties
to extend the 5 p.m. EST Tuesday deadline for reporting recounts of Florida's presidential vote to the secretary of state:
Copyright 2000 Associated PressDone and ordered in Chambers at Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, this 14th day of November, 2000.
MSNBC NEWS MISINFORMATION WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 15, 2000:
reporter Ashleigh Banfield MSNBC earlier in the morning says Palm Beach County Canvassing board is made up of two Republicans
and one Democrat - is she an idiot or what? Just because on one issue confronting the full board, two of the board members
voted a particular way, does not mean they are both Republicans.
If it were two republicans they would never have had this problem with overcounts and undercounts, cause, duh, Bush would
have won in that county cause two republicans would have been on the canvassing board who were obviously elected to the board
by duh a majority of republicans.
But even little old me, just sitting at my computer plugging away has learned that all three Palm Beach County Canvassing
Board members are Democrats.
Charles Burton, the Palm Beach canvassing chairman who dissented from the original decision to recount the vote there, is
a Democrat...
That info is contained in the feature Nov. 15, 2000 Wall Street Journal Opinion piece, The Gore Hurricane - The vice president
has had a week and all the lawyers he could pay, and he is still behind."
And this from "The Railroad Gore hopes the White House will be the last stop on the "no controlling legal authority" express,"
published Tuesday, November 14, 2000 Wall Street Journal
Theresa LePore, a Democrat, and arguably the 2000 election's single most controversial person: She is the designer of the
now infamous Palm Beach butterfly ballot.
Unlike Governor Jeb Bush, who recused himself from the state canvassing board, Ms. LePore refused to do so. Given Ms. LePore's
standing among Democrats as the person who cost them the White House, by what reasonable standard was she permitted to serve
on this board?
Even more telling is the exchange before the vote, in which the board chairman, Judge Charles Burton, also a Democrat, asked
for an advisory opinion from the state.

WE HAVE A FEW HUNDRED THINGS TO THINK ON! ... WHEW THE NUMBER OF THINGS
KEEPS CLIMBING AS DO THE REASONS GORE-IN-CHEAT HAS FOR FILING FOR EXTENSIONS AND GORE-IN-CHEAT LAWSUITS TO CHALLENGE A #HOLE
BUNCH OF THINGS. CHALLENGE: THE CURRENT RULING NOV. 14, 2000 AT 1 PM EST BY LEON COUNTY JUDGE TO DENY THE INJUNCTION
ON THE DEADLINE TO TURN IN CERTIFIED BALLOTS TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA! WITH THE CAVEAT, OF COURSE THAT SEC. OF STATE HARRIS
DO THINGS NON-ARBITRARILY. GORE-IN-CHEAT'S guys were ready to challenge, but pulled back when they learned the ruling of the
judge contained a great lawyerly term: Arbitrary
WHO DOESN'T WANT LOCAL ELECTION COMMISSION OFFICIALS' VOTE TO COUNT? GORE-IN-CHEAT !You
cannot say you are confused about motives now. Broward County voted today, November 14, 2000 to stop their own hand count
recount after a couple of days worth of recounting a 1% sample of undercast ballots. GORE-IN-CHEAT CHALLENGE: Gore-in-Cheat
has filed in court today November 14, 2000 to reverse the official decision of three elected canvassing officials who have
voted to suspend the hand recount for the entire county. READ ON SINCE BROWARD VOTED JUST THIS MORNING, NOVEMBER 15,
TO do a full recount. How can this stand when the official deadline for certification has already passed and no extensions
have been granted by the controlling legal authority - the Florida state department or bureau of Elections! Gee, Ashleigh,
how many Democrats sit on Broward Board? How many voters voted in Broward? How many ballots were actually cast there? How
many citizens actually qualify as electors of Broward. At stake: Some 588,000 (for the Gore-in-Cheat hopefulls, the
dyslexically-reported number is 855,000) ballots to be hand counted, hand rubbed, hand abused. And not one reporter has yet
verified how many are actually even counted in the original recount which was automatic and found to be ok?
WHO DOESN'T WANT LOCAL ELECTION COMMISSION OFFICIALS' VOTE TO COUNT? GORE-IN-CHEAT! YES, THIS IS A REPEAT
BECAUSE GORE-IN-CHEAT DOESN'T LIKE HOW MIAMI DADE OFFICIALS HAVE VOTE 2-1 AGAINST A FULL HAND RECOUNT NOVEMBER 14, 2000
GORE-IN-CHEAT DOESN'T WANT SOME VOTES TO COUNT BECAUSE OF PRINTER'S ERROR:
WALL STREET JOURNAL OPINION: The
Railroad Gore hopes the White House will be the last stop on the "no controlling legal authority" express. Tuesday,
November 14, 2000 12:02 a.m. EST There's more. Mr. Gore's lawyers in Palm Beach County rest their legal moral case on
what they insist is every citizen's sacred right to vote be honored. Meanwhile in largely Republican Seminole County these
same Gore lawyers argue that 4,700 absentee ballot requests be thrown out because GOP officials had (before the election)
been allowed to correct a printer's error.
STILL UNSURE ABOUT MOTIVES OF GORE-IN-CHEAT?
The argument of
Gore-in-Cheat is that people's votes must be counted. Yet, if this were absolutely the truth Gore-in-Cheat would be demanding
such application of the law for a more accurate hand count to all of the counties in Florida, not just the counties which
are Democrat strongholds. If Gore-in-Cheat were truly interested in all of the people's CIVIL RIGHTS, Gore-in-Cheat would
insist on equal application of the manual hand count even in the northern Florida county where he knows by now 22,000 such undercast and overcast votes were discounted. The media has not reported hardly anything at all about this civil rights violation situation in a Republican
stronghold.
SO, THE NORTHERN FLORIDA COUNTY IS A REPUBLICAN STRONGHOLD PER CHANCE??
STILL UNSURE ABOUT MOTIVES OF GORE-IN-CHEAT?
Read on. Another
lawsuit filing to the Supreme Court of Florida. Gore-in-Cheat wants an appeal of the deadline upheld ruling already, before
the ink is dry.
Worse, trial balloons are already being floated that if Florida is not totally certified by some such
deadline, (a discretionary one, no doubt) that means that the one county withholding its certification (Volusia County? Dems
keep adding more counties to the mix when the numbers don't climb high enough for Gore-in-Cheat ) won't be counted toward
the total in the state certification, then the constitutionality of the entire Florida certification process will be legally
challenged. If that occurs, the assertion is that Florida may not be able to meet its Electoral College deadline and Florida
delegates will not be able to be sent to the big meeting of members on December 17, 2000. In effect, since Gore-in-Cheat is
ahead in the current Electoral College count 260 Gore-in-Cheat to 243 for Bush (who by the way has a really cute Spaniel named,
Spotty) then Gore-in-Cheat would automatically win the Electoral College vote, too.
GORE-IN-CHEAT
Volusia did jump right on the turn your count
in now bandwagon to beat the Tuesday 5 PM deadline. Gore-in-Cheat picked up 98 #hole votes.
KEEP ON! THINK ABOUT IT!
In fact, continuing on about the Media,
according to Jim Condit Jr. Director, Citizens for a Fair Vote Count, "... the Big Media has been an essential part and one
of the main culprits in stealing America through votescam over the last 25 years, and now, they are on the verge of being
found out as the documentation gets out to the public. It is already understood by a tiny but influential percentage of key
Americans. SO! The Big Media damages its own credibility in a limited way, with all the election night wrong calls and reversals
in election 2000, thus making the election appear spontaneous, and giving the impression that, surely, every vote counts..
Also, the Big Media begins belated exposure of the absurd punch card system and other crooked voting systems which they have
protected for a generation. In the next phase, the same Big Media hopes to come to the rescue and restore their credibility
completely, by doing reports on “reliable” computer systems and internet systems – which will rig the American
vote forever (they hope).
