Staff Writer Tuesday, November 28, 2000 Voters who used the newest machines in Palm Beach County were three times more
likely to have a problem making their votes count in the race for president.
About one-third of the votes cast Nov.
7 were on machines made by Data Punch. But they accounted for nearly half of the so-called "under-votes," where no vote for
president was registered, an analysis by The Palm Beach Post shows.
... Of the 10,311 under-votes, 5,089 came from
the 75 precincts that use Data Punch machines. Fifty-eight of those precincts were in south county, considered a Gore stronghold.
The 75 precincts have an equal balance of young and old voters, suggesting voters of all ages may have had problems.
Democrats
have complained that 10,000 people would not have ignored the race for president. They suggest that people tried to vote but
wound up indenting the ballot rather than punching through it.
Despite Democratic attacks, the supervisor of elections
office stands by its equipment. The man in charge of the machines was surprised Monday to hear of the difference in under-votes
between the Data Punch and older Votomatic machines.
...
The under-vote rate for Palm Beach County's Data Punch
machine was 4.2 percent. The older machines used in most of Palm Beach County -- Votomatics -- had a rate of just 1.5 percent.
Data Punch's manufacturer says the machine has worked without a hitch for years in counties across the country, including
Palm Beach County.
"If there's any problem, it's not from us," said Lora Lee Stephens, owner of Election Data Corp.
of Valley Center, Calif.

As I have said before,
if this "problem" was known by election officials prior to the Year 2000 national election for president, and the officials
took no action to ensure the trustworthiness of the process, they should be held accountable for a dereliction of their duties.
Second,
any inquisitive 4th grader would ask mommy and daddy and this guy William Rouverol this series of questions:
Do citizens who trek to the polls for an important presidential election usually vote for other positions of senators
and representatives which are on the ballot, too?
Have there been any uncounted ballots which have no holes completely punched out for any other ballot candidates other
than in the presidential column??
Weren't these same faulty (4th grader would say bad) machines used during the Primary Election just a few months ago?
Were there any of these undervotes during that time for primary candidates?
If there were undervotes during the Primary, why wasn't the wear and tear issue brought to the attention of officials
who could ensure that this didn't happen again?
Where has this designer guy been in the last 25 years that these so-called undervotes were happening all over the darn country?
Aren't these officials on the election board the ones who the voters in these counties should blame for using a voting system that is now said by a designer of the system
to cause undervotes because of wear and tear?
But, hey, keep up the search for truth on your own. Here's a start.
Keep in mind that the expert testified that the Palm Beach County system is said to be Votomatic, or the newer system. In
fact, he specifically said Votomatic. That is what I heard as press coverage was ongoing. However, this article clears up one thing - it wasn't this guy's system that he invented that was at fault, according to him. (Hint: find description

Yup, you guessed it. This system is the one that's claimed to not count the votes.
INTEGRITY "VIP" - ELECTION OFFICE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Today, DATAVOTE is still considered to be the most accurate, flexible, and reliable punchcard voting system ever devised.
The DATAVOTE punch and ballot card combine the simplicity of the traditional paper ballot with the high speed and accuracy
of computer tabulation.
Election Automation -- Types of computerized voting systems file Newer punch card systems use cards that are not prescored. Instead they generally take advantage of special spring-loaded
styluses that allow voters to punch unscored cards with ease.

Unfortnately again, news media don't even bother to ask who the experts really are, what
substantiation or proof of position the experts have, and worse, don't yet have a number for us of how many legal registered
voters there are in any one county in Florida, or in the United States, for that matter.

WHICH QUESTIONED:
WHY FOR 19,500 DOUBLE-PUNCHED BALLOTS WERE THERE NO HANGING CHADS, PREGNANT CHADS, OR ANY OTHER CHADS, HOLES WERE
CLEARLY PUNCHED THROUGH!
WHY WERE THERE NO REPORTED NEW VOTES FOUND FOR ANY THIRD-PARTY CANDIDATES DURING THE HAND
RE-COUNTS BASED UPON ALLEGATIONS THAT VOTERS DIDN'T PRESS HARD ENOUGH OR MACHINE RE-COUNT DIDN'T CATCH THE INITIAL BALLOT
VOTE BECAUSE HOLE CLOSED UP?
BUT HERE IS AN EXPERT IN STATISTICS, TELLING US WHAT CAN NOT HAPPEN!!!
"Explicit
statistical evidence of massive ballot tampering in Palm Beach, Fl" Errors only Occurred in Presidential Races? Democratic
officials in Palm Beach County have not been able to explain why 15,000 ballots were double-punched in 1996 AND in 2000. The
"butterfly ballots were NOT used in the previous Presidential election. Thus, there is a pattern not of massive error by the
voters, but of continued fraud by the Democratic election committee members and local officials. Further indication of deliberate
fraud is that there is no evidence of previous massive "voter error" in Democratic primaries, Democratic runoff's, or Congressional
races the past years. Specifically, Massive "voter confusion" does appear in the democratic primaries (where Democratic votes
must be accurate!) and where there was little effective opposition to the Democratic Congressman (Waxler)
Symptoms
of voter fraud by double punching will stand out by the number of the doubled punches, and by the remaining choices on the
ballet.
